When
Arrow trucks started hauling goods in Vancouver, British
Columbia in 1919, the sound of our truck engines symbolized the
beginning of the end for a fading era of horse drawn
wagons. Originally established as a general cartage hauler,
Arrow has developed into one of Canada's largest bulk commodity
haulers and reload operators.
From whales to wood chips we have hauled virtually every type of
product. Arrow trucks helped to build the Bennet Dam, which
supplies power to British Columbia. We have hauled the bridge
beams that are used in Vancouver’s sky train and moved live
whales for the Vancouver Aquarium. Arrow Barges have dotted the
B.C. coastline handling industrial products for a variety of
customers. Over the years we have grown our business and
developed a solid reputation as a carrier that truly values
quality, value and customer service.
Today, Arrow is leading the way in developing service focused
transportation solutions by working with a broad range of
customers, hauling a wider variety of products, and expanding
our presence throughout Canada and the United States. We are
increasing our dependence on partnerships by bringing our
customers, employees and suppliers more fully into our systems
and processes, and by becoming a bigger part of theirs. We are
developing productive relationships with the First Nations
community, government agencies and educational institutions. We
continue to build long-term contracts with customers who value
service, environmental responsibility and employee systems as
well as competitive pricing. With hundreds of people working in
transportation and distribution, reloads and materials handling,
manufacturing and support services, we are known as a company
that focuses on high quality transportation solutions at very
competitive rates.
